Zamboanga Sibugay's Coordination Meeting Sets Stage for 2026 Regional Skills Competition
In preparation for the upcoming Regional Skills Competition and the 1st Technical Committee Meeting for WorldSkills Philippines Western Mindanao 2026, a crucial coordination meeting was held on April 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at ZSPI, APACC Room. The session, led by Engr. Adrian B. Ampong, TESDA Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Director, brought together key stakeholders including experts, coaches, competitors, and sponsoring school administrators to review, deliberate, and finalize the competition packages across all trade areas, ensuring that all technical requirements are standardized for a seamless and successful event.
Notable attendees included Gladys A. Tiongco, Vocational School Administrator of ZSPI; Ferdinand L. Melicor, School Administrator of the Provincial Training Center; Eusibio Tose, Supervising TESD Specialist; and representatives from Sibugay Technical Institute, Inc. Each trade area was examined to eliminate any technical disparities, guaranteeing that all competitors would face identical conditions. The group also addressed logistical concerns, including venue layout, and scheduling, paving the way for the upcoming 1st Technical Committee Meeting for WorldSkills Philippines Western Mindanao 2026.
With the competition packages locked in and the training roadmap clearly laid out, the province's finest skilled youth are now one step closer to bringing glory home—not by staying on familiar ground, but by proving their excellence.
