Engineering Excellence: Trabanca and Tubat Hone Their Skills in China Ahead of the ASEAN Competition
The stage is set with anticipation as the 14th ASEAN Skills Competition draws near. Two students with brilliant minds, Sean Ramil P. Trabanca, an alumnus of Zamboanga Sibugay Polytechnic Institute (2023-2024) with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (DMET), and Nilvando L. Tubat, a second-year DMET student- alongside their expert, Professor Necasio Bait-it Jr., are immersing themselves in an intensive pre-competition training in Yongjia Industrial Park, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, from May 6 to 18, 2025.
With the cutting-edge technology provided there, they dive deep into specialized training, including CNC maintenance, electrical installation, debugging/troubleshooting, and producing/manufacturing. Every session set their energy as 33 participants, alongside experts, push the boundaries of precision and innovation. The thrill of mastering complex systems and troubleshooting under pressure fuels their determination.
The camaraderie among competitors is nothing short of inspiring. As hands move swiftly over circuits and machines, the spirit of collaboration weaves a tapestry of shared ambition. Each challenge conquered is a step closer to perfection, each lesson learned a spark igniting their confidence. The training is not merely preparation—it is a transformative experience shaping future industry leaders.
With determination and hard work, they aim to showcase their talent. Their training in China is a crucial step toward success in the upcoming competition. As the event approaches, Tubat and Trabanca are ready to prove their skills and bring pride to the ZSPI.
